The HolVet Philosophy is simple: it is better to cure disease and  promote health and wellness in your dog or cat, than it is to just address or cover up symptoms as is done in conventional
medicine. My holistic, cure-basedTM approach to medicine is based on over twenty-five years of
experience in the field with dogs, cats, and other animals.
I do this by focusing on three main areas:
nutrition, avoidance of overvaccination, and cure rather than coverup.

My main
modalities for treatment are education(!), homeopathy, species appropriate diet, nutraceuticals/natural
supplements, acupuncture, herbal therapies, and Neoplasene for cancer cases.
In addition, I rely on conventional diagnostics like laboratory tests, sonograms, radiographs, and MRIs when
appropriate, and recommend conventional treatments as supportive care where indicated.

Optimal Nutrition is giving your pet's body the fuel it needs for a healthy life. Vaccine Avoidance minimizes health complications that arise from the overuse of inoculations in dogs and cats. Did you know most vaccines
can last a lifetime in dogs and cats, just as they do in people? Cure is not the same as alleviating
symptoms, or palliation. It is a return of the body's chemisty back to the default - normal functioning. My job
(indeed any doctor's job) is to get my patient back to the point where thry don't need me! Homeopathy
is method of treatment that uses FDA-approved homeopathic drugs to stimulate the body's own chemistry to return to normal
functioning - what is technically called homeostasis. Acupuncture is an ancient Chinese method
of healing that stimulates various points of the body with hair-thin needles. Herbal Therapies
are derived from natural sources. These therapies can have powerful effects. One such therapy we are using with
incredible success is called Neoplasene, a veterinary cancer treatment.
